Keep your budget on track in college!

I apologize for not having posted this sooner.. I've been given craaazy work shifts this week, and I had my wisdom teeth removed this morning, ouch!

So, this post is dedicated to what most college students hate the most.. Budgeting.
I have a semi-weird way of keeping track of my money, I'll be honest. I make sure I know what I have to spend every week before anything..

For example, if my paycheck is $200 (And I get paid every week), I'll subtract my phone bill ($50) and gas money ($45) from my paycheck before anything else, so I know I have $105 for the week.

I also don't like keeping money in my bank account unless it's going into my savings account; I think that handling and budgeting cash is A LOT easier than waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for your transactions to go through and withdraw from your bank account. I have PNC's Virtual Wallet as my primary bank account, and I LOVE it! It's so convenient for a college student, because you can do literally everything all on your phone if you install the app.

Also another quick tip or two is that I have a mason jar in my room that I only ever put change in. Once it's full, I've decided that I'll cash it in and either put it directly into my savings account, or keep it in my wallet and go out on a date with my boyfriend. :) Also, I love hiding money on myself. Whether it be in my purse, in my wallet, in my bedroom; No matter where I hide it, I'm always surprised when I find it!




Again everyone, I apologize this isn't the best post ever... but I'm a bit drugged up on the pain killers from getting my wisdom teeth out, and I just don't feel like doing anything.

Oh boy...

The new blog begins!
I'm Jazmyn, hello. :) I'm from eastern Pennsylvania, where there's a city placed right in between Philadelphia and NYC. I'm a college student, majoring in criminal justice. I really enjoy giving tips and advice concerning college and the many stresses college causes. I am also interested in reptiles, random road trips I take with my friends, and cheap but fashionable shopping!
